By the way doesn’t your screen name Alpheus mean river god in Greek mythology? Or is it something else?? I know this is irrelevant, just a tad curious because I am big fan of mythology! Kindly entertain the rubbish :P Moving on to the topic, well I agree that the demand for small cars is huge. In fact this demand is forcing global car makers to rethink their plans on big fuel guzzlers and develop compact vehicles.

Yes, like you said, global car makers are contemplating on phasing out gas-guzzlers like the Hummer. However, I dont see sense in sacrificing a great car at the altar of ’green living’. We already have quite a few compact car alternatives to take care of the common man’s commuting needs.
